Wodyetia bifurcate the Foxtail Palm is native to a small area in Queensland, Australia and is ‘On the Red List of Threatened Species’. Wodyetia bifurcate was named to honour the Australian Aborigine Wodyetia who discovered it in 1984.
The stem of Wodyetia bifurcate has many short narrow leaflets with jagged ends, making it look rather like a bottle brush. It is fast growing and extremely adaptable. It likes to grow in sandy soil, in full sun. It is drought and salt tolerant.
